Our purpose is to promote healthy aging by providing peer support and access to training and education in geriatric care for nurses and others who care for the needs of the elderly in rural and frontier communities.

All program activities promote support mechanisms to keep elderly persons in their rural communities and expand their ability to age in place. The Comprehensive Geriatric Education Program

• provides training to individuals who care for the elderly
• disseminates and provides access to educational materials relating to the treatment of the health problems of elderly individuals
• provides peer support and networking opportunities for individuals who provide geriatric care
